It should always and forever be said, Black Lives Matter. If you don't agree with this sentiment, I'm not sure why you are here reading this post, you're not welcome.
7000 plus people gathered at 'The Rialto' in Toxteth, Liverpool on Saturday the 13th of June 2020 to march to the city centre as a Black Lives Matter demonstration. The significance of the Rialto Ballroom must be noted - it was burnt to the ground during riots in July 1981, which The Scarman Report concluded was due to "complex political, social and economic factors" and sparked by tensions between police and the local community.
Fast forward to 2020 and the atmosphere was peaceful and upbeat. Lots of young people and families. Also incredible support from people in cars on route and from doorsteps and windows. The march concluded on the plateaux of St George's Hall with a samba band and some speeches from activists and community leaders.
Important times and I felt I had to document the scenes. All the images are available to licence for usage - please contact me directly.

Getting a portrait booked in for a business profile can be a new and daunting experience for some people. Many of my clients have never had a professional photoshoot before and of course it is up to me to make them comfortable ...
A very busy and interesting weekend working for Marise Payne Australia's Minister for Foreign Affairs at various venues across the city. It was my first time working at a high profile diplomatic summit.
A couple of weeks ago I was honoured to be asked to present and exhibit some of my artworks at the “Unmasked” Digifest and annual research conference 2021, based in Durban, South Africa
"Had a really great photo shoot with David, punctual, professional and put me at ease straight away. I couldn't have asked for more and the results speak for themselves, excellent pictures, perfect for Spotlight! Will be calling again, thank you."
